WESTON, Mass. —
A Waltham, Massachusetts, man was charged in connection with a pellet gun shooting at a popular golf course last week.
Kenneth Bergin, 46, is facing charges of disorderly conduct, discharging a BB gun across a public way, and property damage.
According to Weston police, Bergin shot at golfers with a BB gun at the Leo J. Martin Golf Course on Nov. 20.
NewsCenter 5 spoke with a man who said he was struck by one of the pellets on the second hole.
"I was watching those guys tee off, and then I suddenly hear a 'pop' right here. And then I looked down, and there's a little metal pellet. I said, 'I got hit,'" said golfer Gary Louie, 77, who was uninjured.
Another golfer, Tony Ferrara, says if the pellet had been any higher, it could've hit Gary in the head.
