CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A ribbon-cutting ceremony will celebrate the inaugural flight from Cape Girardeau to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
According to a news release from the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, the ceremony will start at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 1.
The inaugural flight is set to depart at 3:30 p.m.
They say there will be a ceremonial water cannon salute by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, as well as remarks from guest speakers.
“This new flight to DFW is a game-changer for our region,” JoJo Stuart, CGI airport manager said in a news release. “It strengthens our connectivity, supports economic growth, and provides our travelers with more options and convenience. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community, and we value the partnership
