Woodstock officials agreed Monday evening to begin the first concrete steps toward developing Bradford Park, directing staff to initiate design work on the project’s opening phases and formally committing $1.2 million in Valley Health funding toward the effort.
The move marks the first real implementation decision since the town adopted a new master plan for the 72-acre park earlier this year. That plan envisions Bradford Park as a community hub with trails, athletic fields, open play areas and reforestation zones — an expansion intended to match the town’s population growth and rising demand for youth sports, walking paths and multi-age recreation.
