Another global gastronomy award has recognized a storied restaurant in Boston known for serving New England seafood for nearly two centuries.

Union Oyster House in Downtown Boston was named North America’s Best Landmark Restaurant for 2025 as part of the annual World Culinary Awards.

The restaurant known for its clam chowder and location on Freedom Trail competed against other well-known restaurants in the U.S. and Canada, including another New England entry , White Horse Tavern in Newport, Rhode Island.
