A Concord, Massachusetts, man was arrested Tuesday after makeshift scarecrows targeting the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District superintendent were displayed around the town.
Over several weeks, beginning Sept. 22, police found multiple signs placed around Concord that were directed at Superintendent Laurie Hunter.
John Grace, 56, of Concord, was arrested at his home in connection with the scarecrows and charged with violating a harassment protection order that Hunter filed and was granted in May.
The scarecrows displayed messages that included: "Fire liar hunter," "Muskets for musk?" "The hatch for hunter!" and "Hate, waste, bullying, higher taxes."
One resident said more than a dozen makeshift scarecrows have been found.
