The driver who injured more than 130 people by ramming his car into crowds at the Liverpool title parade wept in court as he changed pleas to guilty on the opening day of his trial.

Paul Doyle, 54, was due to stand trial on 31 charges including dangerous driving, affray, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and wounding with intent.
