A man is due to appear before a judge charged with murder after another was found dead inside a home.

Callum Howe, of Blakelock Gardens, Hartlepool, appeared at Teesside Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, November 25, after another 22-year-old man was found dead in a home on Allerton Close, Hartlepool.

Due to the seriousness of the charge, magistrates sent the case to Teesside Crown Court. Howe, 22, is due to appear at the higher court on Thursday, November 27. He has been remanded in custody.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Sunday, November 23, shortly after 11am.

Officers cordoned off part of the street as police and paramedics dealt with the incident.
