A Darlington supermarket was forced to close after burglars snatched items during an early-morning break-in.
Officers were called to the Mowden Co-op on Fulthorpe Avenue at around 3.30am this morning (November 26) after a burglary.
Durham Police said items were stolen before two suspects took off on foot and an investigation has now been launched.
Pictures taken from the scene showed how a glass panel at the front of the store was smashed, with two workers seen boarding it up on Wednesday afternoon.
