The Middletown Board of Education rejected a motion for the Dec. 1 return of Superintendent of Schools Amy Creeden, who is currently on leave.
In a Nov. 26 email statement, district spokesperson Kevin Witt said the district “does not comment on personnel matters,” and “Board of Education President Denise Romero is declining further comment.”
The vote was held on Nov. 20 in an action-items-only meeting. The five “no” votes were by Patricia DeJesus, Andrew Moore, Curtis Rhett, Denise Romero and Freddie Williams. The four “yes” votes were by Edwin Estrada, John Perrino, Rose Tobiassen and John Williams, according to the meeting minutes .
