BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern University could be close to naming their next head football coach.
NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk is the top choice for the job, per multiple sources.
Just over a week ago, university officials flew out to Boulder to interview the Colorado running backs coach.
A source also tells 9Sports that one prominent university donor is spearheading the move to bring the New Orleans native back to his home state.
A press conference is tentatively scheduled for Monday, December 1st to introduce the next head coach, per a university official.
The Jaguars still have one more game left in this regular season as they will face Grambling State in the Bayou Classic on Saturday at 1 p.m.
