EUGENE, Ore. - Two teenagers were struck by a vehicle in the Bethel area on Tuesday evening with one transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said that emergency and police personnel responded at 6:07 p.m. on Nov. 25 to a crash near Royal Avenue and Berntzen Road involving a vehicle and two juvenile pedestrians. One 14-year-old girl was unharmed, while a 14-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital, with potential plans for airlift to Portland for further treatment, police said. The driver, a 29-year-old woman in a Kia Optima, remained at the scene. Eugene Police and Eugene Springfield Fire responded, and the Major Collision Investigation team is continuing to investigate.
