Superior, Wis. (Northern News Now) - Holiday travel has been dicey with his winter storm, and the road conditions are still looking like a challenge with blizzard warnings still in effect across the South Shore in Wisconsin.

Thanksgiving travels have begun all across the country, and many people in the Northland region have faced pretty extreme road conditions.

Brooke Hendry and her sister made the drive up to Superior, WI, from Madison, WI, on Tuesday to be home in time for Thanksgiving with their family.

While they made it home safely, they say driving conditions were less than ideal. “I would say the fastest we were able to go was like 30 or 40 miles an hour, and so it was like seven hours to get home, and normally it only takes us about five, so it was really bad, it’s scary,” said
