A 39-year-old male rideshare driver was stabbed multiple times in the Bronx, officials said.
The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning between Randall Avenue and White Plains Road.
Fernando Mateo, the spokesman of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, said the man’s name is Osei Kusi. He is a driver for both Lyft and Uber.
“It seems to have been a road rage situation. It doesn’t seem to be a robbery. He had all his possessions based on the videos that [the] NYPD has been able to see,” Mateo said.
He’s not a troublemaker. He’s not a guy [who’s] out there robbing people. He’s not a guy [who’s] out there fanning himself. He’s out there working,” he added.
According to the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, Kusi was charging his vehicle on White Plai
