TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Travelers are sailing through Tucson International Airport as Thanksgiving approaches, with the airport anticipating a slight uptick in travel this year around the holiday.

Tucson International Airport is expecting 127,000 flyers during the 10-day travel period surrounding Thanksgiving. This would be a 3% increase from 2024, according to spokesperson Austin Wright.

However, flyers like Manuela Mora were pleasantly surprised by the quiet and calm conditions at the airport Wednesday evening.

"I was expecting to see long lines and people everywhere and no, it’s just gorgeous. I saw the no lines, and I’m like ‘Wow, his is my luckiest day here,’" Mora told News 4 Tucson.
