A targeted shooting outside a popular Carlisle bar led to two arrests after a pre-dawn investigation on Thursday, Nov. 27, police said.
Carlisle Police were dispatched to the Gingerbread Man on South Courthouse Avenue just after 2:10 a.m. for reports of gunfire, according to the release. Officers arrived to find a vehicle parked near the front of the restaurant that had been struck by bullets as bar patrons stood nearby, investigators said.
The shooting stemmed from an earlier altercation inside the restaurant, police said. No injuries were reported.
Kobe Jaylen Marsico, 28, and Nahseem Clark, 25, were identified as the suspected shooters following witness interviews and a review of nearby surveillance footage, according to Carlisle Police. Detectives executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of East Penn Street, where both men were found inside and arrested with help from the Cumberland County Special Response Team.
Marsico and Clark were transported to Cumberland County Prison, where their preliminary arraignments were held. They are awaiting preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge Birbeck, authorities said.
Both men were charged with:
- Felony Aggravated Assault.
- Felony Firearms Not To Be Carried Without A License.
- Misdemeanor Possessing Instruments Of Crime.
- Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
Additional search warrants were completed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Anyone who witnessed an assault or argument at the Gingerbread Man before the shooting—or the shooting itself—is asked to contact Carlisle Police at 717-243-5252.
The department thanked its assisting partners, including the Pennsylvania State Police, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Cumberland County Special Response Team, and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office Forensic Investigation Division.
