A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Friday at 11:04 a.m. for lake effect snow until noon for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer and Washington counties.
"At 11:03 a.m., a lake effect snow band was over Niskayuna, or over Scotia moving east at 45 MPH," states the weather service.
This includes the following highways: Interstate 88 between exits 22 and 25. Interstate 90 between exits 9 and 30. Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 9. Interstate 87 between exits 23 and 7, and between exits 8A and 13N. Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 9.
Expect lake effect snow in the following locations:
Clifton Park and Cohoes around 11:10 a.m.
Troy, Green Island, and Waterford around 11:15 a.m.
