MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon City Commission approved Tuesday, Nov. 25 changes to a development agreement of an old school that is planned to be turned into affordable workforce housing.
The city will now retain a portion of the property located at 417 Jackson Ave. The site of the vacant Froebel School in Muskegon’s Jackson Hill neighborhood.
The change is intended to help Samaritas, the developer, to score possible additional points on future applications for low-income housing tax credits through the state.
The development is also sponsored by Garrett Family Community Partners and Little River Development, LLC.
