GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Cold weather continues with a possible wintry mix ahead. Chief Meteorologist Chris Justus tells us what to expect this holiday weekend.

This weekend, highs will be in the 40s and lows in the low to mid 20s for the Upstate and Western North Carolina. A light wintry mix is possible Sunday morning mostly in the mountains north of Highway 11.

Models have trended wetter and colder, Sunday into next week. Cold rain is expected for most even after the light mix.

On Monday night, another system moves in, bringing the chances of another wintry mix in the mountains with a soaking rain Tuesday.

Cold temperatures persist with highs barely pushing past 50 until Friday, where highs are expected to reach the 50s.
