TAMA COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Tama County Sheriff is urging against travel as snow continues to fall across Eastern Iowa.

In a post on Facebook , the Sheriff shared a photo of conditions, saying all roads are extremely dangerous and conditions have gotten drastically worse, especially on Highway 30.

The sheriff went on to urge people not to travel unless it is an absolute emergency.

The Johnson County Sheriff is also urging people to stay home unless it’s an emergency.

They posted this photo of a crashed semi and said if you must drive, please remember to slow down, leave more distance between cars, and accelerate and decelerate slowly.
