A chilly, unsettled pattern brings light showers, a few flakes, and a stronger chance for wintry weather early next week.
Clouds, Light Showers, and a Touch of Wintry Weather
Clouds filled in across the region today, keeping temperatures cool with highs in the low 40s for most of us. As we head into tonight, a weak system will bring scattered rain showers — and yes, a few flakes or a brief wintry mix may try to mix in at the start. If we see any snowflakes, all of this is expected to change into cold rain as we head into tonight and tomorrow.
Because temperatures hover just above freezing and the ground is still relatively warm, little to no impact is expected , though drivers should watch for slick spots on bridges and overpasses late tonight into early Sunday.
