PLEASANT VALLEY – Marine Corps Veteran Adam Roche , who serves as Director of the Dutchess County Office of Veterans Affairs, was surprised recently with a commemorative “Hometown Heroes” banner in his hometown of Pleasant Valley, which now hangs outside the Veterans One Stop on Route 44 in the town.

The ceremony to honor the Marine who shies away from the spotlight featured members of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department who unveiled the banner, County Executive Sue Serino, Town Clerk Mary Beth Muir, Roche’s parents, and veterans from across the county.
