Several UK areas are set to be hit with "heavy rain" over the next 48 hours as the Met Office has issued yellow and amber severe warnings for rain from Monday night.
It comes after an overnight warning for ice affected parts of North West England including Greater Manchester, as well as Yorkshire and Humber, North East England, East Midlands and West Midlands. This warning came into affect at 10pm on Saturday evening (November 29) and was lifted at 9am on Sunday morning (November 30).
There are three separate warnings in place for rain, all coming into affect at midnight on Sunday night, going into Monday morning (December 1). The first is an amber rain warning remaining in place all day on Monday, being lifted at 11:59pm. This warning is set to affect parts of Wales
