BUFFALO, N.Y. — A disagreement between the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority and developer Sam Savarino has put the redevelopment of Buffalo's DL&W Terminal at risk, five years into a pre-development deal .
In a statement shared with 2 On Your Side, the NFTA said that it no longer had a formal agreement with Savarino and that its agreement with the developer ended on November 14.
The authority says that "critical details" about the project were not discussed with them and that while the NFTA "acted in good faith for years," Savarino "failed to provide a viable business plan."
