Chattanooga police arrested a man for attacking and stealing a gun from a man walking with his family on Arlington Avenue late last month.
Police responded to a call from the victim's girlfriend on Friday, October 24, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 3 News.
The victim told police that a man he had known for nine years, 36-year-old Robert Walker, approached him asking for a cigarette.
When he said he didn't have one, Walker became angry and started putting his hands on him.
During the struggle, police say the suspect saw that the victim had a gun in his waistband and grabbed it.
After he got the gun, he pointed it at the victim and told him if he moved he would be shot.
Walker ran away with the Glock 22 and wasn't arrested by police until over a month later, on Saturda
