A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:09 a.m. valid for Tuesday between midnight and 1 p.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.
The weather service states to expect, "Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute," explains the weather service. "Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
