On Monday at 12:19 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid for Tuesday between 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Northern Wayne and Southern Wayne as well as Bradford, Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches," can be expected according to the weather service. "Localized amounts around 7 inches possible over the higher elevation, especially in Pike and Wayne counties. Snowfall rates around 1 inch per hour are expected during the morning hours."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike
