A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:34 a.m. valid for Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Northern Erie and Crawford County.

"Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches," can be expected according to the weather service. "The heaviest snow is expected between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Tuesday followed by lake effect snow showers Tuesday afternoon."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute," comments the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts Pennsylvania roadways."
