A West Lothian man appeared in court after a 'pool cue attack' in a Livingston pub. Sean Rennie, 23, appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 26.

Rennie, of Livingston, was charged with assault to severe injury and carrying an offensive weapon. He made no plea, reports the Daily Record .

The case was committed for further examination while Rennie was granted bail. His next appearance in court is yet to be confirmed.

Police were called to the Tower Bar in the town's Craigshill area after receiving reports of a serious assault on November 8.
