The family of a man who was fatally attacked in a city street have paid tribute to their loved one who "cared deeply".

Vijay Kumar, 30, was found with life-threatening injuries in Barbourne Road in Worcester at around 4.15am on Tuesday, November 25.

Mr Kumar was rushed to hospital but died later the same day.

Five men, arrested on suspicion of murder, were last week released on bail as police enquiries continued.

Mr Kumar's family today paid tribute to their loved one who lived his life with "purpose, passion and heart".

In a joint statement, his family said: "Vijay brought energy, joy and laughter and filled our lives with warmth.

"Life was never dull with him around.
