NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO — Fresh broccoli florets are being recalled after possible contamination with salmonella.

The recall was issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on Nov. 28 for the brand 'Your Market Fresh' that was distributed in six provinces, including Ontario.

The CFIA urges the public not to consume the affected product, and warns that while food may not look spoiled it could still cause illness.

The lot affected by the recall was from a 907g batch with a best-before date of Nov. 26, 2025, and "BBD 2025-NO-26 ; Lot# 25318" was printed on the bag.
