Broccoli florets sold under the Your Fresh Market brand are being pulled from shelves in six different provinces due to possible salmonella contamination.
The 907-gram bags of broccoli were sold in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, according to the recall issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) on Friday.
The products come with a UPC of 6 27735 27054 8, lot number 25318 and best before date of Nov. 26, 2025.
Canadians are advised by the CFIA not to eat the recalled products, as the product can appear unspoiled and still be contaminated with salmonella.
Salmonella poisoning can cause fever, vomiting and diarrhea, while long-term complications can lead to severe arthritis.
