PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Banner Health announced seasonal visitor restrictions at all of its hospitals as flu and respiratory virus season rolls around.
The restrictions, which took effect Monday, apply to all Banner hospital, including 25 of those across Arizona , and will remain in place through March 31 to slow the spread of the flu and other respiratory illnesses during the peak virus season.
The restrictions prohibit children under 13 from visiting patients in their rooms, according to Banner Health. If visiting a hospital, they must be supervised by an adult in public waiting areas and cafeterias.
Siblings may visit newborns in obstetrics, but may first be screened for illness.
