TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating the death of an unidentified person who was found laying on the ground in downtown Toledo Sunday afternoon.

According to a Toledo police report, police received a call regarding a "person down" in the 1100 block of Madison Avenue at approximately 3:54 p.m. Police responded to the location and found a deceased person, described as an unidentified male, laying on the ground outside.

Toledo Fire and Rescue crews pronounced the victim as deceased at the scene. In the report, police said the deceased appeared to be homeless.

The cause and manner of death were not listed in the Toledo police report.
