HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) - Deputies in Christian County discovered a house fire while attempting to deliver an emergency protective order on Sunday night, according to WKDZ .

The station reports that by the time the fire was located and Hopkinsville firefighters made it to the scene along Pembroke Road, the home had been completely leveled. The house had a long driveway and wasn’t visible from the main roadway.

Deputies say the intended recipient of the emergency protective order arrived at the site of the fire while officials were on scene.

WKDZ reported that she told them she wasn’t home at the time of the fire and hadn’t been there since the previous evening.
