Monroe County and surrounding areas will get up to 4 inches of snow by early Tuesday, and the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for 28 counties. Here’s what you need to know.
How much snow will the Monroe County area get?
The area will get between 2 and 4 inches of snow, said Casey Crosby, meteorologist with the NWS in Indianapolis. The amounts will differ depending on which parts of the system hit which parts of the county, he said. Some areas in Monroe County may see longer or more intense periods of snowfall than others, Crosby said, and it’s too soon to predict exactly how the storm system will hit the area.
