The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 2:01 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 3 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Northern Lycoming and Southern Lycoming as well as Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia and Schuylkill counties.
The weather service adds to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
