WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Police are investigating after a shooting in Waterbury on early Saturday morning.
At around 1:45 a.m. officers were in the area of Grand Street when they suddenly heard possible gunshots, the police department said.
Then, officers were notified of a man who suffered gunshot wounds that was in a nearby hospital.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that this was an isolated incident between two groups of individuals with one victim.
The victim that was struck by a bullet was identified as a 39-year-old man from Waterbury.
Police said he had a gunshot wound to his arm and abdomen and his injuries are non-life-threatening.
