MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — One woman was injured Monday when her vehicle slid through a stop sign due to icy conditions and collided with another vehicle.
The crash happened on 9 Mile Road at 80th Avenue in Morton Township, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office.
A northbound vehicle on 80th Avenue was unable to stop at the stop sign and slid through, where it was hit by an eastbound vehicle, investigators say.
The driver, a 28-year-old Blanchard woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
No one else was injured in the crash.
In a press release, Sheriff Brian Miller reminded drivers to “drive slow on ice and snow” and always wear your seatbelt.
