GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The owners of Gator’s Dockside closed their restaurant location on Newberry Road in Gainesville on Monday.

In a social media post on Monday, company officials announced the original Gainesville location at 3842 Newberry Rd. was closed.

“This was a tough decision, and we’re truly grateful for every guest, team member, and memory made here. Thank you, Gainesville, for your support and loyalty,” the company posted.

The nearest Gator’s Dockside location to Gainesville is now the Jonesville location at 14126 W. Newberry Rd. Ste 10, Newberry.
