SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted deputies following a domestic disturbance call on Thanksgiving Day.
Hernando Auxilion Salvador, 30, is charged with first-degree criminal domestic violence and assault on a police officer while resisting arrest.
Deputies responded to the 100 block of Dorchester Manor Boulevard in reference to an active domestic disturbance at 11:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they located with people on the scene and proceeded to a bathroom where Salvador was located.
Salvador then resisted and assaulted deputies while attempting to detain him. He attempted to crawl under a bed during the struggle and also grabbed a deputy’s gun and attempted to remove it from its holster.
