A serious drug addiction saw Jennifer Turner get into a lot of trouble over the past four years.
Heading into Sudbury court, Turner, 38, was facing 23 charges dating back to 2021. Turner pleaded guilty to eight of the charges.
Now clean and sober, Turner’s sentencing was delayed so that she could jump on a bus to Timmins for a four-week residential treatment program for drug addiction at the Jubilee Centre in that city.
Released on a strict bail order, Turner is to return to Greater Sudbury immediately upon finishing the program on Dec. 23, check in with Greater Sudbury Police every Friday and have no contact with any of the co-accused connected to her charges.
She will return to court for her sentencing hearing on Jan. 14.
