LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Lexington firefighter has been placed on paid administrative duty after being arrested in Jessamine County.

According to a media advisory from Battalion Chief Derek Roberts, Lexington Firefighter Nicholas Baldwin was arrested on November 25 on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with no visible injury.

Baldwin has worked for the Lexington Fire Department since 2012. Chief Roberts said Baldwin was immediately reassigned to paid administrative duty following the arrest, per department policy. An internal investigation will begin after the criminal case concludes.
