MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department released the name of the suspect in a homicide on the north side on Nov. 17.
Jonathan Britton was pulled over near the Dane County Regional Airport and taken into custody the night of the shooting on a probation hold, according to a news release. He remained in the Dane County Jail at the time of publication.
The police department referred charges of first-degree reckless homicide and felon in possession of a firearm against Britton to the Dane County District Attorney's Office.
Police said the shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 17 on Brentwood Parkway, just south of Warner Park.
When officers responded, they found J-Marr Willis , 25, lying on the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
