BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Food pantries are getting ready for the 30 th Food for Families food drive.

For four pantries across Robertson and Madison counties, they say there has been a strain with higher prices, less funding, and fewer donations.

Pete Brien, with Call for Help, said resources are limited since they mostly rely on the food bank for supplies.

“Whatever the food bank in Bryan-College Station has is what we are able to get from them and that is our primary source other than some donations,” Brien remarked.

Other locations, such as Son-Shine Outreach Center , are the main place people in Madison County go for food and other resources. Lisa Wamsley said donations are crucial to keep the facility afloat.
