LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Traffic on Bardstown Road — from the Snyder to the Bullitt County line — is getting worse, Louisville Metro Councilman Kevin Bratcher said Tuesday, but he says nothing can move forward until a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) safety study is finished.

“If I have to be the voice in the wilderness, I'll be the voice that just cries and complains because we got to get it done. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, and I'm the squeaky wheel right now,” Bratcher said.

Bratcher said growth and development in Fern Creek and nearby Nelson and Bullitt counties have outpaced the roadway’s infrastructure, creating dangerous traffic conditions.

“We have intersections up and down the stretch here from Seatonville Road to the Bullitt County line that need some help,” he said.
