BARDSTOWN, Ky. — A Bardstown teenager is being hailed a hero after saving his brother receive second degree burns in a weekend incident.
The Bardstown Fire Department said it responded to Rogans Trailer Park Sunday afternoon following reports of a 14-year-old being burned.
Erasto Jaime was moving items around the family’s shop when his brother’s hoodie caught fire while standing too close to a propane heater.
While the teen didn’t initially react, Erasto quickly pulled it off and extinguished his clothes underneath a nearby spigot.
Erasto described the feelings he had when seeing his brother getting burned.
