Before Tyler Reinhart closes the book on his varsity career in the PIAA Class 5A final this Friday, he’s first making his future home official.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety out of Bishop McDevitt announced his commitment to Monmouth University on June 24, and on Wednesday’s national Division I football signing day, Reinhart inked his name to suit up with the Hawks.
“I’m very excited, you know? Growing up, I always wanted to play college football, always looking for the opportunity,” Reinhart said. “I moved from a different school, just trying to find a better opportunity, Catholic faith and everything and thank God it all worked out. Got a Division I scholarship to Monmouth, I’m getting to play at the next level and it’s just high emotions right now.”
