Staten Island residents can expect mostly sunny skies Wednesday with temperatures reaching the lower 40s degrees, before a significant cold front moves through Thursday afternoon bringing much colder air.

According to the National Weather Service , this front could produce scattered snow or rain showers.

Thursday’s high temperatures will reach the lower 40s before the cold front passes, with winds becoming gusty from the northwest at 20-30 mph in the afternoon and evening.
