A taxi outside a railway station in East Kilbride burst into flames just after a passenger got out of the vehicle.
The incident occurred at Redwood Drive next to Hairmyres train station this morning, Wednesday, December 3 at around 11.44am.
Dramatic footage captured the blaze as firefighters arrived on the scene, the Daily Record reports. A video clip shows the taxi completely engulfed in flames as grey and black smoke billows into the sky.
A fire engine can be seen arriving and parking beside the vehicle. Firefighters are then seen surrounding the taxi and tackling the blaze.
As the flames are extinguished, a large cloud of smoke appears while the officers continue to douse the vehicle with water.
