PHOENIX (AZFamily) — City officials welcomed China Airlines to the Valley of the Sun, with the first inaugural flight touching down on Wednesday afternoon.
The first China Airlines flight arrived at Sky Harbor Terminal 4 shortly before 1:30 p.m. This is the first time travelers can fly nonstop between Phoenix and Asia.
Earlier this week, the airline announced that it will offer nonstop flights from Phoenix to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. The flight is scheduled to depart three times a week: on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Travelers will get to board an Airbus 350-900, with a capacity of 306 passengers.
